2016: A Seventh Successful Showstopper
We did it again! Thanks to everyone who came this year, as well as all those who helped out to make 2016 another great day out for all the family.
Wish I Was Dave
Wish I was Dave is a four-piece rock/blues/funk/pop band covering music from the sixties to now. All four, having been involved with other bands and projects, now bring together a wealth of experience to provide their audience with a quality production of a wide range of well-known songs individually arranged.
The band members are Dave Ashwell (Bass & Vocals), Paul Hogan (Guitar & Vocals), Will Martin (Guitar & Vocals) and Perry Robbins (Drums & Vocals). The band are still taking bookings for 2016/2017.
Bristol-based pop/rock band Phoenix Club bring to the table an eclectic mix of harmony driven melodies laden with pop hooks, together with 80’s revived ambient synths of Years and Years-esque proportions and soaring guitar lines that would sit happily in the ears of any fan of the The 1975. Collectively, these elements will either leave you dancing uncontrollably, or finding yourself overwhelmed by heartfelt vibes that you can’t quite put your finger on.
They have played shows with the likes of George Ezra and shared festival bills with Rudimental, Clean Bandit and Years and Years. Furthermore, they have headlined festivals in the Netherlands and Denmark, and were recently featured on BBC Introducing In The West - the B-side to their 2015 single Stop Beat Play was aired on March 26.
Charlie Allen, ex-international performer (I Love the 70s, ABBA Forever) brings his latest dose of infectious stage fun with Glamstravagant, a show dedicated to one purpose: making people dance and have a good time!
Ladies, bring your boas; gents, put on your make-up - these are tunes you will sing along (and have probably danced around a handbag) to, with plenty of David Bowie, Marc Bolan and Elton John - and that's just the start of it!
